Last run on the River Clyde

It is a sad day indeed. Many a great adventure as a child on the Calmac Ferries. It is a shame to see these Novel Beasts sent to the Ferry Graveyard.

Ltd edition Prints are available on request with sizes up to 30 x 40 inches.

Beautiful Sky Above Gourock

The weathers being a bitch this summer. Nights like this remind me of how the Summer evenings should unfold. A night on the bike…in a pub on the waterfront…In the garden…you know what I mean..fingers crossed the weather holds out!

In this image we see the sun set in the West, Gourock, Bute, The River Clyde and the hills behind Holy Loch all have Glory in this composition. Enjoy

Gourock Pools Coming On

I know I had a moan in the last blogg but I stand by it. As a visitor on a beautiful day I was not overwhelmed by the majesty Gourock is in my mind and once was in my eyes.

Here we have a  few shots of the ‘New’ Gourock Pool. I think I’ll have to check it out when it opens and go of the dale. The last time I went of that dale was in the days before our twenty’s…

The peoples of this town vote once again for what?
60 years of failure
lies about the working class and labour
lies about bringing new jobs to this area
blah blah blah blah they went
Labour and its new lacky McKenzie will do what for this area
Fuck us all not literally but effectively
McKenzie says the SNP have not eaten into their majority
It was 16000 under Cairns its now 5000 under him
11000 hmmm must be the same way he conducts the accounts of IDC
Lolo guy now saying it’s a disaster for labour
11000 lost votes is more of a worry in a completely safe Labour seat like Inverclyde
Lorraine Davidson on tv
The media is riddled with them and that is why you never get a fair reflection of the true Scottish view
oppression was never something I took as a gripe maybe because I have a lot of confidence and I know I aint no dumb ass but oppression is what is going on and more so. This is what the brit unionists are now turning Scotland into what?
Makes me sick this country mate why they cant just wake up
We share an island aye so fuck
The worlds an island
We are a nation
We have been for thousands of years
How boring would life be if we were all the same?
What man needs to do is accept we are not all the same
Then there will be peace

My old School is looking Techno Jazz

good to see some colour in this new building. There was never any colour there when I was there. Cringe at the PE tops..ranking fullstop. The jazz element of the link is because I see music in those colours and it plays a mighty fine lead on the SH101. Think about it like this. If you have seen close encounters then imagine jazz playing from each note sequenced on an Sh101 in a sub  osculating  wave and hey presto you got it.

Gourock Pools and Grazy Golf

Hi ah, I went for a long cycle today down Ashton and enjoyed the views. I must say Gourock is a changed place. The waterfront was so bland without the outdoor pools, the crazy golf and something else was missing. I think it could be a play park of some sort but it just seemed so greyscale…not much colour at all. What’s happening down there? Is Gourock losing it’s reputation as a seaside resort? Ok the new pools going to be great but it’s limited to how many. That’s what’s wrong with Community and in the grand scale of things society itself and it’s differences. Afraid of what exactly? Enjoy  yourself s  it’s later than you think! I remember every visit to Gourock and Ashton as a child. The outdoor pools, wild  raspberries  and the sheer sense of freedom on the beaches wiling the hours away.  I say get this waterfront sorted out people! Bring back the pools and the area will get back in the light. I can’t see this costing to much and with public support you could change things for the better instead of letting the powers that be empty the place of anything of culture.

Clouds above Greenock

Now that’s a sky. Looks like it’s carrying a lot of rain mind you.

News Crew on Greenock Waterfront

I was out with camera in hand today and had my lunch on the waterfront at the cinema gazing at the river. I spotted a news crew of sorts and decided to walk over and grab a snap or two. Does anyone recognise the lady in question?

Greenock Waterfront Construction

In this image we see the building of Greenocks New Art Center taking shape. It got me thinking! once again I sense serious blunders in management. The Tall ships event is only just round the corner and visitors from near and far have to gaze  upon  this eyesore . I see some tourist images will be featuring a big blue fence and the relatives will be like…was your hotel under construction and in some enlightened minds – where you in Spain? Sorry Spain…no offence!

House on the Hill

I wonder what this little croft like house used to be. Anyone got any ideas?

It sits on the Hill behind the old Largs Road behind Whinhill Golf Course.
